Vigilante Terrorist (or is he?) Strikes in North Carolina

CHAPEL HILL, North Carolina (AP) -- A recent University of North Carolina graduate was charged with nine counts of attempted murder Saturday, a day after authorities say he drove through a popular campus gathering spot in an attempt to avenge Muslim deaths.

Although my first reaction to this incident is, of course, sadness at the tragedy of it, I also find a layer of the purely bizarre in this. Listening to the 911 phone call from the perpetrator was particularly enlightening in that respect. See .
